Frank N. Konstantinides, President, majored in biology and chemistry pre-medicine at Waynesburg College, Waynesburg, PA from 1968-1971. He then elected to finish part of his Senior year at the Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY in a Medical Technology Internship. Frank then entered a Graduate program in Natural Science, majoring in Pathophysiology. From 1975-1980, he studied at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, New York State at Buffalo and State University of New York at Buffalo. In 1979, he designed and built a nutrition and metabolism laboratory at the Buffalo General Hospital, later moved to the St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center in Minnesota. Frank is a member of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry (Division of Nutrition, Secretary), American Society of Clinical Nutrition, American College of Nutrition, American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, American Institute of Nutrition, American Burn Association, AmericanTrauma Association, Minnesota Chromatography Forum and American Microbiology Association. Since 1979, Frank has specialized in amino acid analysis of physiological and biological samples. Frank founded AminoAcids.com in 1994.
Dr. Eric “Ric” Eccleston

Dr. Eric “Ric” Eccleston, Senior Scientist, is a 1970 summa cum laude - University of St. Thomas. Ric earned his Doctorate from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Minnesota in 1978. Ric also worked for the University from 1970 to 1978 as a Teaching Assistant and Junior Scientist. In 1978 Ric was hired as a Research associate at the University of Minnesota. Ric directed the Microchemical facility in the Institute of Human Genetics, U of M from 1990 to 2002. In 2002 Ric set up the proteomics laborary in the Children’s Research Institute Children’s National Medical Center, Washington D.C. Ric has worked at AminoAcids.com since 2005.
Dr. Douglas Bibus

Dr. Doug Bibus received his BS from Mankato State University and earned his MS in nutrition and Ph.D in nutritional biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Bibus is a community faculty member at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Spirituality and Healing and a researcher in the area of fatty acid biochemistry and nutrition. Dr. Bibus is considered as one of the top omega 3 experts in the world, a distinction that stems from his work at the academic lab (Professor Ralph T. Holman) that invented the omega 3 terminology as well as discovered the metabolism and definitive essentiality of omega 3. Dr Bibus’s research interests include the role of essential fatty acids in human and animal nutrition, the role of omega 3 fatty acids in attenuating the inflammatory response, the application of fatty acids in the treatment of disease and the impact of oxidative stress on performance animals and humans. Dr. Bibus is a member of The American Oil Chemists’ Society, The American Chemical Society, The Society for Critical Care Medicine and The International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids. He has been a two-time winner of the American Chemical Society’s Award in Analytical Chemistry. Dr. Bibus is a foundation board member for AOCS and chairman of the health and nutrition division and award committee.
Steve Jaeger

Steve Jaeger, QA/QC Director, earned his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and minor in Chemistry at the University of Minnesota and gained a passion for biomedical technology. During his tenure at AminoAcids.com, he has progressed from the wet lab to assisting in laboratory quality assurance. When Steve’s not in the lab, you may see him tutoring for St. Paul Public Libraries, playing piano, playing or refereeing soccer, running distance races, or camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Steve has worked at AminoAcids.com since 1997.
Isaak Brott

Isaak Brott, Lab Manager/Scientist, received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Concordia College, Moorehead, MN. where he studied DNA Vaccines. Isaak’s hobbies include football, downhill skiing, and playing and officiating basketball. Isaak has worked at AminoAcids.com since July of 2007.

Claire Oakley graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology while minoring in Studio Art. Her other interests include playing Ultimate Frisbee, running, biking and she continues to engage in artistic activities, in particular printmaking.

AminoAcids.com, formerly known as the Scientific Research Consortium, Inc. (SRC)) (EIN #41-1791152), was founded in November 1993 by Frank N. Konstantinides, as a sole-proprietorship.

Our philosophy is to assist researchers in both the academic and industrial arenas by offering a research and reference laboratory flexible to their needs within our areas of expertise.

AminoAcids.com was incorporated in the State of Minnesota, on October 1st, 1994. Our facility filed for and received a CLIA registration Certification on February 16th, 1994 and was issued license number 24D0882688 by the US Department of Health and Human Services. Our facility was then inspected by the Minnesota Department of Health on October 31st, 1994 and received its CLIA laboratory Certificate of Compliance at that time.
